A complete after-hours call script and the instructions to paste into an AI receptionist (or give to an answering service).
A shop says AI booking works better than 'sounds human,' and it still routes diagnostics and prices to a person
Missed calls dropped a lot. Customers could tell it was AI within a sentence or two.
What they did
In a r/autorepair thread asking for real AI receptionist results, one commenter said they tried a couple of tools and ended up on Dasha AI, mainly because it handled interruptions better.
How it went
They said the "AI books appointments" part works better than the "sounds like a real person" part, and customers can usually tell within a sentence or two. Missed calls dropped a lot, which was the real win. They still route anything about diagnostics or price estimates to a human, because customers get annoyed when the AI is vague.
Worth knowing
Test how each tool handles being interrupted, since real callers talk over it. Don't let it be vague about price; hand that to a person.

Same truck, same prices. The only change was replying first.
A counter-story from the customer's side: the bot didn't know the price of the company's own maintenance plan.
One said Bland took about two weeks of tuning. Another said multi-topic callers broke theirs.
Fixed price list, a zip-code check, preset time slots. Anything else becomes a message.
