A complete after-hours call script and the instructions to paste into an AI receptionist (or give to an answering service).
A plumber says his company's AI receptionist works well, until a call it wasn't trained for
It never forgets to ask questions the office might. Some customers have complained to him about it on site.
What they did
In a r/Plumbing thread about AI voice receptionists, a plumber said the company he works for has one.
How it went
He said it "works very well EXCEPT when there is a situation it hasn't been trained on." For standard calls it's great because it can't forget to ask questions office staff sometimes skip, but a couple of customers have told him they were frustrated with it when he showed up. Another commenter who set one up for a plumbing client said the tech worked, but the plumber wanted every call routed to him anyway, which defeated the point.
Worth knowing
Collect the weird calls from the first month and add them to its training. And decide up front which calls go to you; routing everything to your cell defeats the point.

Same truck, same prices. The only change was replying first.
A counter-story from the customer's side: the bot didn't know the price of the company's own maintenance plan.
One said Bland took about two weeks of tuning. Another said multi-topic callers broke theirs.
Fixed price list, a zip-code check, preset time slots. Anything else becomes a message.
