An SOP for one process, a first-week checklist, and a quiz.
A non-technical small business owner says Claude built him a mini-CRM, and helped him fix his own HVAC with a $30 part
Email triage, lead tracking and a product catalog in one week. He canceled ChatGPT.
What they did
@TheDukeofKewpie says that in one week with Claude he automated email sorting, flagging and reply drafting; automated data entry and lead tracking, which "unintentionally turned into a mini-CRM"; and drafted a new product catalog layout in 2 hours.
How it went
He says the catalog would have taken days before. Claude also diagnosed his home HVAC problem: he ordered the correct $30 part and skipped a $250 weekend service call. He calls himself "not a technical guy" and canceled his ChatGPT subscription.
Worth knowing
That HVAC win is the flip side for trades: customers are diagnosing simple fixes themselves. Your edge is the hard calls, speed and trust. Explain your diagnosis with evidence.

Messy site notes go in, a clean quote in their format comes out, and invoices finally go out on time.
Customers walk in sure of their diagnosis because ChatGPT told them. Sometimes it's dangerous.
One person used to type every reply. Now the agent takes the order and sends it to the kitchen.
A non-coder with a tech background built tablets, kitchen screens, reservations and inventory, and is honest about the grind.
